Dear Parishioners, 

My name is Colleen Ontko, and I am very happy to be joining the parish family at Our Lady of Fatima. My husband and I have been married for 23 years, and we have been blessed with three children. I earned my Bachelor's degree in Psychology from William Tyndale College and my Master's degree in Pastoral Ministry from Assumption University in Windsor, Ontario. Throughout the years, I have been blessed to serve in several parish ministries, including as Director of Religious Education at St. Augustine in Howell and St. Pius X in Flint, as a Pastoral Associate at St. Mary's in Redford, and as a Chaplain at Lourdes Nursing Home.
 
I believe God has led me to this new opportunity, and I am grateful to be here. I look forward to getting to know each of you, sharing our faith together, and serving this parish with compassion, kindness, and joy. Please keep me in your prayers as I begin this new ministry, and know that I will be praying for all of you as well.
 

Religious Education

General Information for Religious Education

Children's Faith Formation will met on the 1st and 3rd Sundays of every month, starting September 20th. Classes are held at 9 - 10:15am. 

Fees are: 

• $40.00 1 student 
• $60.00 2 students 
• $90.00 3 students

Sacramental years (2nd* and 8th**) have an additional fee of $15.00 per student.

Should the recommended tuition be prohibitive to your family registering for Children's Faith Formation, please contact the Parish Office at 517-764-2088.

*First Reconciliation and First Holy Communion formation is offered in the 2nd grade year. Students who have met the requirements to receive the sacrament of FHC do so on the 1st Sunday of May.

**Confirmation formation is offered in the 7th/8th grade year using the “Decision Point" program. Students who have met the requirements to receive the sacrament of Confirmation return in the fall of their 9th grade for a Jackson Regional Confirmation Mass here at Our Lady of Fatima.
