The St. Luke N.E.W. Life Center in Flint has been assigned to Our Lady of Fatima by the Diocese of Lansing for your annual Mission Appeal. We are a faith-based environment providing life skills, education and workplace training. We empower women and men to become self-sufficient. We all know that a job is necessary to be self-sufficient. Women and men who are victims of generational poverty must overcome barriers that prohibit getting a job and sustaining it into the future. Some opportunities that we offer at the Center in order to overcome these barriers are GED preparation with one-on-one tutoring, Employment Preparation Classes with Paid on the Job Training, obtaining vital documents, Trauma focused counseling, eye glass clinic, weekly food and personal item distribution as well as a program for women in trauma because of abuse.
